Ok new fun plan in action!
I was trying to decide what to do with my friday class replays considering they are basically repeats + expansions on the topics covered on Mondays. The universe showed me the way forward. My WiFi connection on Friday was so bad that the video recording was pretty much trash. BUT the audio is good! So, heres the new plan.
Every Friday class discussion will be turned into The ReWilding Process Podcast episode that you can listen to in the car or while working out or otherwise doing things you’d like to infuse with a lil nervous system education.
I hope you enjoy this first episode. If you’d like to go deeper, check out these full class replays from earlier this month on the same topic :)
Theme: Capacity
Capacity: The ability to receive, hold, or absorb something.
The maximum amount that can be contained.
Tending to the inner landscape that allows for an expanded capacity.
Resources
Grounding, sensing self, energetic boundaries, self protection for ultimate presence in life.
A sense of security is needed to allow life force to properly flow through our bodies & spirits
Capacity to be used for self sustaining AND community involvement.
Pulling out of the community is one of the biggest losses when capacity is limited.
Being able to sense capacity
Capacity looks like: tending to basic needs, energy for home & self care, being able to respond timely to friends & family, maintaining plans, patience, balanced pace, sensing & attuning to self & others, being able to make choices,
When we feel as though we have lost our ability for any of this, this is a sign that we are outside of our window of capacity. It is time to adjust & we may be approaching or already within a state of collapse.
Personal exploration:
What are things you like to do when you have expanded capacity?
What are things that help nourish your body & spirit that help support feeling capacious?
What are your top 10 major resources?
Somatic Movement Meditation #020
In this class we explore: Tending to the inner landscape that allows for an expanded capacity.
Somatic Movement Meditation #021
In this class we dive deeper into the exploration of capacity. We discuss the experience of having limited capacity; the times in our life where we have less to give (less energy for output), need more input, & what happens when we disregard the body signals for offloading.
